I had no clue what the beer pong game was all about , until i played it myself. It was really fun and no wonder extra beer helps you a lot :) . This is not so much popular game as compare to other conventional games like chess etc. But people are rapidly becoming addict of it . Nice blog my friend and i really want few more interesting blogs on beer pong .

A very interesting article. Do you think that thujone matters in the so called "absinthe effect" or secondaries? The effect is the primary reason that I drink absinthe.

I have tried recently a low thujone absinthe (Kubler), a medium level absinthe Clandestine and a high thujone absinthe called Century Absinthe. The latter has 100mg thujone. It is very clear from my tastings that thujone does indeed have an effect! I have asked on other forums and have been told (rather rudely) that it was placebo effect or the alcohol. I disagree as the effect of drinking absinthe is quite different to other high proof alcohol and I am very used to that.

Absinthe has been said to stimulate creativity and to act as a curative and aphrodisiac drink for artists and well know individual such as mentioned in this article. I'm sure a lot more than these people indulged in the drinking of absinthe and since its subsequent banning in many countries in the early 1900’s contributes to anti-absinthe sentiment and one less drink for the MAD organization to be concerned with. Myself, if it were on the shelf and available, I'm sure I would be one of its users, only on a more casual level.
Cheers!

I too enjoy a well made whiskey cocktail. While my taste preferences seem to be slightly sweeter than the drink choices you offered with your delightful whiskey article, I thought it may be beneficial to provide alternative whiskey drinks to go along with yours.

Highball
Tennessee Whiskey- 1 oz
Gingerale- 6 oz
Pour whiskey first, and then the gingerale.

John Collins
Tennessee Whiskey-1 oz
Club Soda-1 oz
Sour Mix- 6 oz
Pour sour mix and whiskey into a shaker, shake well, pour into a glass and top off with seltzer.

Ward Eight
American Whiskey- 1.5 oz.
Lemon Juice-1 oz.
Sour Mix-1 oz.
Grenadine-.25 oz
Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice, strain and pour into a glass.

I enjoy these whiskey combinations, but again they provide a different taste option. I'd feel guilty if i didn't give credit for the recipes I provided. I got these recipes from www.liquorlive.com.
